Ideal for router lifts, the Wixey Remote Digital Readout is a kit that can be adapted to a number of woodworking machines, including router lifts, router tables, and shapers. It has a remote display connected with a 3-foot cord that can be disconnected for easy installation and access. The large easy to read display reads in inches with fractions or millimeters. The fractions are displayed using Precise Fraction Technology which gives you 4 times the accuracy of other fraction readouts, with decimal inches displayed in .001" increments and millimeters in .05mm increments. Installation of the kit requires drilling two small holes in your machine using the drill bit supplied. Mounting hardware is also included. Fits router lifts made by Pinnacle, JessEm, Woodpeckers JoinTech and others.

Then the screw broke in the hole I had drilled. Secondly, the drill bit for setting the screws to hold the mount breaks all to easily for me. So, I had to drill out the screw with a larger drill bit and replace it with a somewhat larger screw. This is a great item for anyone with a router table. My only problem was that my router lift was more rounded where it had to be attached so that it could work properly. I think including another piece for those of us with rounded router lifts would be a great addition and perhaps even 2 or 3 different sizes too. I guess that I did not go deep enough and in trying to tighten the screw into the plastic I overtightened it and it broke. A lot of work, but in the end I love it and so does everyone who sees it in my shop.
I recommend it highly. I found that the router lift and/or the router plate (backside)especially when it is a very hard plastic do NOT drill out well. Buy it you will be happy, but be careful on the install.Good Luck In fact, I broke the drill bit and had to spend several minutes removing it.
