This is a factory reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. Includes 7-1/4" Skilsaw w/ Laser - 5680-01-RT

User Comments about the Factory-Reconditioned Skil 5680-01-RT 7-1/4-Inch Laser Circular Saw

my opinion the product is excellent and the service the seller is very good apart from amazom is to successfully ported to the Artura carefully sigan asiFrancisco Bueno

It does the job but leser is a bit off the angle and get confue all the time. But works great.

I chose not to because I am quite happy with the saw. I contacted the seller who asked me to return it for a refund. When I do I will post an update. I have not repaired it yet I've been too busy. The laser was off slightly on mine. When the seller (Skil Shop) found out I was not returning it they referred me to other web-sites that could assist me in repairing it myself. If Amazon had a favorite sellers list I would put Skil Shop on it.I'm very pleased with this saw and I got a great value on it. From what I have seen it is a simple fix. It's meeting my needs perfectly.

A couple of issues: 1) Initially cutting with this is difficult as the guard was difficult to push up. Not sure if there is a battery or something, but honestly I didn't find the laser that useful for a circular saw anyway so I haven't bothered to look into it.It's an ok saw, pretty sturdy, and it suits my needs, but I'd probably consider another brand for next time. 2) Horsepower-wise it was ok. I was previously using my dad's el cheapo Black and Decker 10 amp saw and it seemed about the same in that department.3) The laser stopped working on my saw on the second project I used it for.

I don't use a circular saw very often but when I do I want a good tool to use. It's a good way to get a quality tool for a decient price a DIYer can use. I was concerned about buying reconditioned but I have used it for 6 months and it works fine. When I buy another power tool it will certainly be reconditioned.
