This will obviously cause more discomfort because the weight is distributed across a smaller area. I have an older set of these and thought I would be nice an order some for friends and family. I just ordered some on Nov of 2009. I plan to send 'em back. The straps I recieved are half the thickness of the originals.
Being in the moving profession, owning a pair of these forearm forklifts moving straps are a must. I love them. They work well by distributing heavy weight from your back to your forearms. That's the point.
I've seen and used the "real" forearm forklift straps before. Way too short to be of any value.Don't waste your money. These are not them. These won't even stay on your arms and slide down to your wrists.
Trust me, once friends help you move stuff with these, they'll be asking to borrow them when they need to move stuff. Like most girls, when it comes to the heavy, brutish jobs, it's better to lift "smart" than wreck your back. These straps help you do just that. And they're a great way to show the guys you don't always need them for the 'boy' jobs. You still need a partner to use these, but the job is waaaaaay easier.
It is NOT as pictured. This product is a ripoff of the original Forearm Forklift. I bought three as gifts and I am embarrassed to give them. This, however, is a cheap knockoff. "RIPOFF. These are thin, narrow cheap straps with no padding. " I have the original Forearm Forklift and it is a great product.
