This is a factory reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. This model is a 14 amp, 10-inch compound miter saw with laser.

purchased this as a gift.and he was a very happy camper. purchased this recondition item and couldn't be happier.

Mine showed only minimal signs of being factory reconditioned. This saw is perfect for the home user. My old saw took two hands to move from 45 degrees rgith to 45 degrees left. I like to keep my tools in good condition. Smooth movement on this one.If you are looking for a quality tool with a good warranty (one year), for realtively little money, this is the tool for you.

EVER. I also received this saw via FEDEX. I will NEVER own a power tool like this again without a laser tool. This is quite a saw for the price. This tool came with almost NO signs of having been sent back to the factory. Combined with the versatility of the saw and its' low price, it pays for itself in just a few projects around the house. I also found that the turntable moves back and forth with ease. I made several practice cuts with the saw (just as the manual suggests) and it is extrememly accurate.

I did not like the fact that the body of the saw is stamped "RECON" but, that has absolutely no effect on performance of the saw. It came with a nice sharp blade and was ready to use out of the box. Caution: Wear eye protection when using this saw (as with ANY power saw). Delivery was fast and painless.

The laser helped teach my fiance how to make the cuts as do the nailing. It shiped fast with no problem. We are doing a basement remodel.

Saw came as described with all parts. Reconditioned or not, it seems to be that it should have been cleaned before shipping to a (the next).customer Delivery was timely. Only criticism was that saw was covered with sawdust.

Not so much a comment, but a question. Saw it today and almost bought it. why buy this saw for $160 when you can get a brani-new Ryobi 10" sliding compound miter saw for $199 at Home Depo.
