User Comments about the Bosch T1B Port Folding Miter Saw Stand

Once put together, the unit collapses and sets up quickly for storage and moving in his Xterra. This came as a freeby with a Bosch 10 inch sliding miter saw that I bought for my son as a 2008 Christmas gift. He is a finish carpenter who has to move from job site to job site. He's happy with it and that's all that matters to me. Shipping was fine (no damage as others have reported) and he put the unit together in less than a hour.

I have struggled for years placing my mitre saw on the ground and propping the material to be cut with blocks of wood; it is so nice to work standing. It is easy to assemble and once your mitre saw is attached to the brackets it is quick and simple to remove it for storage. I have the Skil identical twin to this stand and am delighted with it. The stand collapses easily and quickly and stores compactly. This really is an essential tool and well worth the money. The extension arms can be set to easily make repeat identical cuts.

I could put my 66 lb. I settled on this after much research. It accommodates saws with three point mounting like my Hitachi. I like the fact that the extensions are coaxial so the supports don't tilt in different direction like those that are mounted one forward and one rear.

giving you an effective span of 112". It looks like they have switched to the Track Rack. You can shift the saw on the rails easily, so while the extensions only span just over 8', you can get about 56" on each side of the blade (not both sides at once, but how often do you need that). I am semi-retired so I have the time to research purchases very thoroughly. Very sturdy all steal construction--only the knobs are plastic. radial arm saw on it, if I wanted to. The Bosch version of this stand doesn't seem to be widely available anymore.

I feel this is less glitzy but is superior functionally. It is a compact 46" long with extensions removed, and just fits in the back of my little Tracker. It is under 50# and much lighter with extensions and mounts removed. You can still get the same stand under Bosch's partner brand (Skil) for much less, but it is a national chain store exclusive. One square tube actually fits inside of the other and is slightly smaller.

This stand was free with my miter saw and I was somewhat concerned that the quality would be less than stellar. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is its lack of easy portability. I read many reviews that spoke of how difficult to assemble it was. I found the stand to be very easy to assemble and quite sturdy.

excellent product - easy to assemble, sturdy, balanced, Pay attention to the directions as they are very helpful when setting your saw onto the stand
