I swear someone sneaks into the house in the middle of the night and just takes the Sharpies. Having a big supply is wonderful.

Amazon's price of $30 for 36 Shapies is actually a pretty bad deal. You usually get it for $5 a dozen when they are on sale. You can get a dozen for about $7 at office supply stores when they are NOT on sale.

Sharpies are permanent markers. Sometimes the tag printing itself has faded away but the Sharpie writing is still clear. We use then to tag all the artifacts we dig up on excavation and the stuff may languish in storage for years before we get a chance to analyze, restore or study an object.

As another reviewer noted, Sharpie has no match. Sharpies are a great standby in this household, and this package of 36 pens is an especially excellent value. Apart from the fact that there's no match among permanent markers for Sharpie's durability and long-lasting qualities, this large container is also a very good value. Knockoffs don't cut the mustard. Go for it.

Shapie markers are simply the best permanaemt markers for just about any use. We use them for making quick signs in our shop, putting names on clothing (on the inside), and in the woodshop to indicate cut lines.They are also pernanent, so some care should be taken.Highly recommended.
