Yesterday I ordered a second one. I'm trying to use an older router table which was missing some of it's hardware and had my fingers crossed as I ordered this featherboard. I found it to be very easy to use. Very pleased. It clamps very tightly in the track, allowing me to pay attention to other details of my work.
Have used this quite a bit with my Ridgid table saw and have found it to work great. As for the other review which gave this two stars, it is not the fault of this product that your table saw uses a non-standard miter slot. I have had no slipping problems, as the metal locking bars seem to work quite well. At my work we have the bench dog featherboard, which has plastic bars, and that thing has had some real slipping problems.
What I did not realize was that my Craftsman table saw requires a 5/8 inch bar. Not sure if it is worth returning the Rockler featherboard as they charge a $6.50 handling fee and I must also pay postage for the return. I have ordered the Milescraft hoping for a better result. The bar that fits in the miter track is 3/4 inch as advertised. Rockler does not supply a 5/8 inch bar that will fit the saw. This is all in addition to paying $6.95 shipping and handling on the original order. I talked to the folks at Rockler and they had two suggestions (grind the 3/4 inch bar down or return the item).Research determined that the Milescraft 1407 featherboard comes with a 5/8 inch bar as well as a 3/4 inch bar.
