WELL MY SHOP HAS 3-4 ROUTERS SET-UP ON TABLES ALL WITH BITS IN THEM AT ALL TIMES. its very good for the price, should last me a long time. POINT IS I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE AT LEAST AN HOUR AND 20 MIN TO GET A BIT AND PAY 40.00 BUCKS FOR IT AND ITS NO BETTER THAN THESE.BY THE WAY I checked out the carbide on these, under the scope. WHY 100PCS. I SAW THE OTHER REVIEWS THAT REALLY ARE NOT REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY NEVER BOUGHT THE PRODUCT.
YEH CRAZY THAT WAY I KNOW. WELL WE OWN A SET AND FOR WHAT YOU GET WITH THIS IMPRESIVE SET AND THE COST I WOULD OF HAD TO SPEND A 1000.00 BUCKS. I KEEP A DOVERTAIL BIT IN ONE, A ROUND OVER IN ANOTHER AND SLOT CUTTER OR LAMINATE IN OTHER. let you know I HAVE AT LEAST 2 OTHER BACK UP BITS IN THE CASE WHEN I NEED IT WHICH HASNT HAPPEND YET BY THE WAY.
After reading reviews of the 100 & 80 piece Router Bit Sets, I will never buy these because of the Truth of the people that received them.
It would kind of be like getting a free parachute with a new plane, or better yet, a raft that you could use as a parachute. I guess if they don't hold an edge long or they fly apart I can see the logic, but then I question why I purchased it. Maybe it's that I'm 6'8" with big, fat fingers.Anyway, you could probably make as good of a kit with a deliberate trip to Harbor Freight and get substantially more cut for the buck. It seemed like most of these bits belonged in a dremel pack rather than advertised as a "Router Bit Set." I was hoping for at least one that would make a profile you could see from further than a few inches and had to get my glasses when I removed the plastic. Although there are a hundred bits, I have no idea why one would need four 3/16 straight bits or four 1/4 straight bits. I can only assume they loaded up on these small bits to round out a less than stellar set with something to differentiate from the rest of mediocre sets out there in my price range. If you can't go into HF without buying 100 rubber gloves and the model NASA rocket than you have found your set.I need to buy more expensive tools. 100 used to be my favorite number.If you are looking for anything real useful, keep looking.
Received as a christmas gift. No router owner should be without. Enough different choices in bits to match or customize and piece of wood into a beautiful contured masterpiece. The price was unbelieveable the what you receive.
I have a hybrid router and use both the plunge and fixed base, and just about every bit I could use is included in this case. It should meet the needs of any average homeowner that uses a router for a variety of jobs. For the few bits I needed that weren't included, I was able to switch the pilot wheel with a different sized one from another bit. It has a well built wooden case and at a buck a bit, I was actually surprised at the quality.
