But when I tried to drive stainless wood screws, the #2 Phillips screw driver tip shattered -- not just one of the four "wings" of the tip -- but rather the entire tip shattered on the second screw. My cordless drill needed drill bits that would not slip in the hand-tightened chuck so I ordered this set. I have only used it one day but my initial impression is not great. Obviously, a manufacturing problem; maybe the heat treating was faulty. The drill bit I used worked fine drilling four holes through 1/4th inch steel plate.
