I dont know how else a rather frail individual as myself would get 5/8" fire code drywall up on the ceiling. This thing itself is heavy but on wheels. No biggy. can be trouble to assemble/disassemble cuz of it though.
The arms bend, the welds were broken in 2 areas when we opened the box, the mechanizm that is supposed to hold the drywall in place slips. I am a customer home builder for the last 31 years. We rent a drywall lift couple times a year, but with business slow we are hanging our selves so I ordered this lift. We took it apart twice to see if we did something wrong, but it is a copy cat, looks the same but it is of very poor quality. It is not safe, my guys refuse to use it.
I have friends who are amazed at what I was able to do by myself. Very happy with the Lazy Lifter. I did 10' ceilings, walls, 45 degree slanted walls, all by myself with this tool. Very well constructed, worked everytime. Alignment and placement was a breeze and made a much better finished product because it held the sheets while I did the aligning.
Lift came in good shape, easy to assemble. It sold the next day to the first person to look at it. I did my flat and sloped ceilings and put it for sale on CL.
Well worth the money. This tool i a must for anyone needing to drywall. It is inexpensive enough for a home-user, but durable enough for a commercial-user. Buy here with no worries. It allowed me to drywall my entire basement by myself.
