Although the saw operates flawlessly there are quite a bit of cosmetic blimishes and engraving on the one I received. The mechanical condition and operation is excellent and I am very pleased with smoothness and operation of this saw. I hope it lasts as long as the 10 years my Makita did. This saw is super heavy duty and much better than my older Makita. It is also a little heavier than most others but it is really built tough.
Quality saw and a decent price, $79.00, for a reconditioned tool. The scuffs and gouges and engraved initials/dates on the housing and handle should have required CPO to replace the cover. But their disclaimer does say there may be some cosmetic blemishes. Just be aware there may be some serious cosmetic blemishes.
Not too heavy and not too light. You can ajust the amount of orbit on top of the saw. Looked brand new. Plenty of power for all tasks and saved me a bunch of time doing demo work. Bought this saw for some DIY renovations at our first house.
The orbital action is great for ripping through lumber much quicker. This saw is awesome. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Would definitely recommend. Came with a nice hard case and two blades.
I've gotten a couple of refurbished tools from CPO that looked new. You would just think CPO could do some basic cleaning before they sent it out as a refurb or maybe replace a few of the more scratched surfaces.Buy hey, $75 for a 12 amp orbital sawzall. Not this one. It was filthy with dirt and grease and to many scratches to count in addition to the previous owner's engraved initials. That said the saw works fine and I'm sure it will give me a lifetime of service.
The saw itself is of a pretty good weight, and it feels sturdy like it will last me for years and years. I cut the pipe clean on the line with my second try, with no prior experience with this tool. No white knuckles. I received this reconditioned tool in perfect working condition. It took maybe 1 second to plunge into the pipe, then another 2 seconds to cut one half of the pipe. The weight and quality of the tool helps prevent a large amount of shock, so it will be comfortable to work with for hours on end.
The saw came with 2 blades, a manual, and a big red case to hold it all in. I would expect no less from a brand like Milwaukee.I first ran the saw, and it was to my surprise that while this is my most powerful power-tool it's also the quietest. The saw produces merely a hum at full speed, maybe as loud as a $5 electric toothbrush. The saw is in perfect condition, and it feels as good as new.The saw had no trouble with 4" ABS pipe, and it was easy to handle with this task.
It performed wonderfully. It seems very durable. Can't wait to use it for other projects. old female who initiated it with over a hundred cuts of 1/2 inch rebar. This tool has the power and flexibility to do it all.
This was a reconditioned product and came looking like new. I'm a 59 yr. It was not difficult to handle and not too heavy. I highly recommend it. If the model with the speed dial had not been so much more expensive, that would have helped hold the trigger at the necessary slower speed for so many metal cuts, but otherwise I love it.
