User Comments about the 50pc DIAMOND BURR SET- Ceramics Tile Glass Lapidary for ROTARY TOOLS

I may be able to carefully adjust this with a pair of fine padded pliers, but haven't tried that yet. The shapes of the burrs have been appropriate and useful in the work. I have used many of the diamond burrs for detail work in woodcarvings, and they have performed well. As expected, they have some tendency to load up, but it was easy to clear them by running them over a piece of rubber. Overall I have been quite happy with the set. My only complaint is that a couple of the conical burrs had their very tips leaning off center a little.

I know they say ceramic and glass but for the fine detail work in metal that I do on my sculptures they work greatPro-Quality 20-Piece Diamond-Point Bit Set for Rotary Tool - Glass, Stone, Ceramic. 50pc DIAMOND BURR SET- Ceramics Tile Glass Lapidary for ROTARY TOOLS

The only drawback for me, because I'm new at this, is that I did not know which tool is best for a particular job so it was trial and error. This set of tools was just want I needed; the other glass cutting instruments that I had were not working. I purchased this set of diamond burr because I was working on a project that involved mirrors. I was able to drill holes through the mirrors for handles (eight to be exact) and shape my mirror pieces as needed. Some directions for usage (what's best for what type of job) would have been very useful. I would not have been able to do get the job done without the diamond burr set.

This burr set is more durable than one I've purchased elsewhere. And the variety of shapes help me enhance the detail I want. It has stood up to many types of rocks that I carve into.

Each burr is a different size and shape, resulting in an assortment that works for almost every need. I was guessing 150 grit, but the spec seems to have disappeared. An earlier product headline stated that these are 120 grit. This is an excellent value. (Missing are the very small sizes, but those would need a much finer grit) As mentioned in the product title, these are designed to carve hard materials.ceramic, tile, glass and stone. Whichever it is, it works for most applications. A steel burr set would be a better choice for wood.
