Most local retail stores only have Lego geared more to the interest of boys. I was looking for a Lego product for my niece and found this on Amazon. Of course, the Lego pieces were much larger and the end product would cost much more. I have seen Lego with windows and doors that open and close. The order was received promptly in a well protected package in time for Christmas. My niece enjoys to variety of play this product provides, with people, dog, car, and house. But it would have add to the imagination and play. My only regret is that the Lego is a bit small with no moving parts.
I purchased this item for my granddaughter for christmas, when it came in the mail, I was totally surprised to see that it wasn't the pink brick box I had ordered, it was blue. I had no time to return it, nor did I want to go thru the hassle, so needless to say, I was not pleased with this purchase.
First time I bought a legos set and when the girls opened the box I thought oh no look at all those pieces. Also got the blue box and the castle building set so they are having a great time. But they immediately got on the floor and started building. They are 7 year old twins and they loved it.
These are your familar Legos, only pink and lighter girl colors instead of the traditional red, blue and white, you have pink, orange, etc.The container is far bigger than the actual amount of Legos you get, but it gives you storage room for your extra Legos. My girls enjoyed the new colors and putting things together with them.
Instead of giving little kids a bunch of legos with no idea in mind, this set gives kids all kinds of ideas to build: people, houses, cars, wagons, boats, flowers, horses, dogs, etc. (although it says 4+, I took out all the tiny pieces and it is okay). obviously you can do ALL at once, but it keeps things interesting and gives them a creative spark. My 3 year-old LOVEs it.
