User Comments about the Bare Tool Milwaukee 0881-20 18-Volt V18 1/4-Inch Hex Impact Driver Kit (Tool Only, no Battery)

I have no experience with any other brand drivers. It just runs them in as tight as you want with no holes. No holes are necessary with this driver. I have read other reviews that speak of how this driver compares to other brands. All I know is this impact driver has amazed me how easy it drives 3" deck screws into pressure-treated 2-by lumber. It was worth every penny it cost. Before getting this impact driver I was using an 18v cordless drill and-several times-even with a full charge-I was not able to get the screws the whole way in unless I predrilled holes first.

great deal on this impact drill, since i already have the whole v18 kit. It does not turn as fast when in impact mode, but nothing will stop it. The impact drill is much more efficient drilling holes in wood to run wires through. I get much longer life from the battery, also the drill bit does not have to be as sharp as compared to drilling with the regular drill.

So the tool will probably be great once I get the right battery for it. I called Milwaukee to get those numbers and was given the wrong numbers but I didn't realize this until I had ordered them from Amazon[at a very nice savings thank you]. there is no mention of the battery [ number of battery and the charger for the battery. So i returned the two items to a very nice company [Hardware Sales] and hopefully ordered to proper battery and charger from you guys. Thanks You guys are great to deal with and I only wish the government operated as effectively as you guys.

I have never pushed it on larger bolts as I have a 1/2 drive for that. I am not sure if any of the models have a clutch or torque setting. They should have to change their name. I use this working around on my motorcycles and have found it very handy. One other thing I hate to see is Milwaukee apparently has started making everything in China now as well.

It will remove small bolts (3/8 or so) with ease. I love being able to use it with my hex head wrenches as a lot of whats on my bikes use them. The only thing I wish you could adjust the torque for tightening as I am afraid of breaking off a bolt and will stop and finish tightening by hand. Thats the reason for only 4 stars.

this compact little power house packs a punch and with 18volts and lithion batteries it lasts. I would buy it again and recomend it for all those self tapers and concrete tapcons.
