Purchased this for our daughters use on her mobile home, she really loves it. Says it is lightweight yet powerful enough to tackle all her projects.
I only got a very limited use out of this saw before the trigger locked up and it quit working. Great idea but poor quality.
This cutsaw is a replacement of a saw that "locked up" and was irreparable. It is a very handy tool though as it is very portable and has decedent battery life.Black and Decker was very gracious about replacement although it was difficult to replace as I believe it was out of production.
It probably won't work very well on construction projects but it is great for trimming small trees and bushes. I am buy this one as a spare since I like the original so much. The key to getting a good cut is holding the branch firmly against the front of the saw.
There is a reason that Retailers are dumping their inventory and B&D is offering free batteries with purchases. What it lacks is enough power to cut anything but soft plastic. This saw is really a good idea. I have a rechargable carving knife that cuts better than this thing. You WILL be disappointed. The battery is too weak for useful operation and I am sure that the development team knew it when before putting out in the market.
