A couple of the pieces were rough when they arrived, having sharp little bits of jagged metal along the edges. I purchased it for carving wax and plaster in jewelry making. They cut, gauge, and pierce the wax smoothly. They have worked well for me so far. This 12 piece tool set has 24 different heads. I simply smoothed them with sandpaper. I am happy with this purchase. They came in a plastic snap-closure divided envelope.
That is what happened to me. If you know someone into this kind of art, I recommend this.The rating of the product is based on my friend's reaction. But I recommend them to anyone looking for a gift for an artist in clay. You know the problem. I would not know how to begin using these tools.
What do you get for someone who claims to have everything he or she needs for a hobby. I figured even if my friendhad these tools, nothing lasts forever and they would come in handy at some point. I was lucky. She was thrilled.
I use these for polymer clay. The different shapes also give me ideas for new projects.Overall a good deal. I don't do too much fancy stuff, just make pendants, so these are useful for making unique patterns or getting into small spaces.
I think everyone should have one set for numerous uses. These are tools for crafters or for any detailed work. Good quality and comes in a foldable case which is great carry them around or to store. They are just as they look in the pictures. Stainless steel will last forever and for the money, it was a great investment.
I bought this for tile making. It does the job, cant say much than that about it at this point.
