I bought this back when I only had the V28 series products. I planned on adding some 18 volt Li-Ion tools to my arsenal, and did not realize that Milwaukee's V-18 products are not compatible with their new M-18 products. (which are Awesome & full of power).
I used to have the single charges but they got a little bulky with all the cords hanging around. With my business we use about 10 batteries a day. This is a great charger. This charger makes to where we always have some fully charged batteries ready for use. With this you can charge 3 batteries at once with only one cord. It charges our dead batteries in about 45 minutes.
Works perfect except bay number three doesn't work at all. A little quality control would go a long way. And I hate the hassle of boxing it up and returning it, and waiting for the new one.
When you're working on a jobsite you need to know two things First where your spare batteries are at, and Second that they are charged and ready to work for you. And it can take a beating from drops, falls and kicks. Milwaukee got this one right in my opinion. This is probably the best charger on the market. I have 6 of these chargers 2 of the Li-ion and 4 of the NiCad and when you're running a crew of guys working a job the last thing you need is down time to wait for charged battery.
You don't need a radio, or a clock built into it (sorry homeowners). With the 3 bay Charger you can store your spares and won't need an extra hand to carry them onto the site. The L.E.D. indicator can be seen from across most rooms, so when you start to loose power you'll know at a glance if your spares are ready.
I love this charger.Very tough and solid feeling.Amazed on how fast it can charge my (3) V28 batteries.I know some people wonder why they did not integrate the radio - in a word "STATIC".But I think Milwaukee could have done a digital clock.hummm as an add on to the face of this charger.Highly recommend this for anyone that plans to do some serious construction.
