I have a small handheld device from work that only includes a 12 volt charger, so I use this to charge the battery from a 120 VAC wall outlet when I am not in the car. Works perfectly.

Use it to charge my Garmin Nuvi GPS at home so i don't have to have the DC cord dangling in my car. Wasn't obvious if still charging or finished.
I also use it with my Roadmaster Rear Deck Scrolling Digital Message System. Plug it into any 120v wall socket and it gives you 12v power up to 1 amp. The Power Line 12v power socket is an outstanding item. All your little car chargers, for cell phones and other low amp draw goodies are now good to use indoors. And, it only costs $9.28. I don't need to take my ac chargers on trips, just this converter and my dc chargers.
There's nothing more to it than plugging it into an outlet (outlet prongs fold down for travel/storage). This product actually works exactly as advertised. :-) Shipping was also very fast. Hurray. Wow. I was a little concerned after reading horror stories about 'similar' products that didn't charge, only charge to 500mA (not 1000mA as this product does), or actually caused smoking/blackened outlets and/or repeated circuit breaker trips. All around, this charger works very well and I'd be happy to buy another product from this company. None of those issues here whatsoever.
