The price of this pack and a stand alone battery vary at Amazon. With this kit, you get the battery, a 12-volt adapter (you still have to have the charger base) and small containers of Paslode's degreaser and oil. Batteries for my Paslode framing and finish guns go for more than $50 at HD and Lowes, and $45 or so at Amazon if ordered separately. This is a no-brainer.The instructions that came with this pack indicate that the first charge of the battery requires 24 hours, whereas the instructions that come with the nailers indicate 4 hours for the first charge. Since writing my initial review, the price of the pack has gone up and the stand alone battery has come down. The battery that came with this pack took only 4 hours to charge.PS.
Purchased a paslode cordless impact nailer on ebay without charger. If you need a replacement charger for your IMCT nailer this is the one. Got this from Amazon after doing some shopping for price. Received in good working order.
