I have both this set of brass template guides and the Bosch style guides. I like how the Bosch ones just snap into place but the brass ones are nice especially since they won't eat carbide bits. They both work great.
None are the fractional inches shown. These guides are advertised as being in inch dimensions. If that's important to you - for accurate template offsets, for example - pass these up. I'm returning them unused as being useless for my purposes. All have millimeter OD's.
If they scratch badly, they could mar your work, but you could buf out any scratches with a little sandpaper. It kills me that anyplace charges more for these, as they are simple accessories. I like these guides, I use them all the time. They fit well on my dewalt routers, no slippage, no machining irregularities. I recommend these highly though. My only gripe is that they aren't very polished or laquered, so they scratch very easily.
No box, no frills, fantasticly made bushing set for any price. I would highly recommend this set over more fancily packaged sets. The machine work is very clean.
This product is exactly as described. For me it is a waist of space, I already have storage cabinets and drawers dedicated to storage, so if I can save a couple of dollars by not paying for fancier packaging, which I won't use, and will ultimately be stored some place out of the way until I go on a cleaning bing, then that is the best choice for me. The price is very good, and I can only presume it is partially due to the no frills packaging that it comes in. I for one, do not appreciate all of these fancy boxes that items like this tend to come in.
