This Denali 12-inch Speed Grip Bar Clamp/Spreader does double duty, first as a super strong clamp, then, with just a few tool-free, easy adjustments, it becomes a spreader, so its uses are almost endless. The smaller jaw rides along the bar and can be positioned anywhere along its length, giving it great versatility both as a spreader and a clamp. Sturdy construction means dependability and a long life, as well as strength wherever you need it. The reinforced nylon jaws and steel bar provide the ultimate in durability, and thick, removable jaw pads protect your project from marring and damage. Changing between clamping and spreading is fast and easy.

MY HUSBAND WAS SO THRILLED WITH THESE, HE BOUT SEVERAL MORE SETS FAST SHIP
I ordered two pairs (4 pieces), used for about a month, one pair (2 pieces) broke. My Irwin ones, after two years of service, still out perform these in any case. They don't create any pressure any more, you can just yank them out from the working set after appying as much as pressure as you could. Called Amazon to get a pair of replacement, out of the box one of them has the same symptom.
These clamps did not generate enough force to close dowel joints on cabinet doors I recently made. These are serviceable clamps for general woodworking use. Positive aspects: (1) decent price, (2) good pads, (3) can reverse and use as spreader. Overall, if you already have a number of higher quality clamps (like Irwin) and need some auxiliary clamps these are fine. Negatives: (1) release lever is awkward to use, (2) clamping force adequate for most purposes but not great, (3) clamp handle is smallish.
