Very well build, accurate from what I can tell and you can't beet the price comparing to more complex torque wrenches. Over all a good buy.
My only negative so far is that you can't hear a click at the lower torque ranges, you have to look for the head to snap if you want to torque at the lower settings. It's marked N-m and ft-lbs. This nut is retighten when you get to your desired torque setting. You are always a small bit below when you get to one of the torque scale marks (or is it high :)).To the reviewer who couldn't move the wrench past 30ft-lbs, that is because there is a lock nut on the bottom of the wrench that you have to loosen to get up higher. Everything works as advertised with this wrench. Regarding the other reviewers issues. I though the same thing when I couldn't move the wrench past 70ft-lbs, but I loosened it up and it went all the way up to 80ft-lbs as expected. Also, it seems some people's wrenches are marked in inch-pounds, I recently got my wrench an it only had ft-lbs and N-m, so they may have change this or it may vary depending on which you get. I agree with the one poster who said it's hard to determine which increment you're on with wrench.
I bought this adjustable torque wrench to work on my VW. This wrench was quick and easy to set and use. The service manual called for specific torque settings.
I could loosen the handle and return it back to where it was but could go no higher. The wrench was non-functional on arrival. It was set near the lowest torque and I could not turn the handle to set it higher (I wanted 30 ft-lbs). A big disappointment. It just seemed stuck.
This is really annoying, since the conversion chart, the other reviews, the product description, ALL say that it is in ft-lbs. Just so everyone is aware. The wrench doesn't even have ft-lbs. This wrench works well, but the product description is horrible and leaves a lot of important info out. It is in INCH-lbs and YOU have to multiply by 12 to get the number.
