I use the L shaped push stick and the push pads all the time. When a friend of mine got a table saw I considered getting him this kit, and I realized that it would be more effective to just buy things I use individually. It's not a bad kit, especially if you're not sure what you'll end up using, but like many "assortments", you end up paying for things that you don't want/need. I don't think I've ever used the long push stick, and I can't think of a situation where I'd use the double-handled push pad.
This bundle has everything that I need. I have used some of these a number of times and they do the job with ease.
These items are properly priced and worth every penny. I rest my left hand on the table surface and apply to-fence pressure on the infeed side of the blade to the workpiece. On the table saw, I use the long skinny unit in my left hand and one of the others in my right. Don't make your own. And, they work. And, feed pressure with my right hand.Recommend these products. I often use them in tandem.
MLCS makes it very easy to do the right thing. One of those babies is bound to be the one that'll keep your precious apendages away from the whirling teeth of death. The mantra for working around a table saw is or should be: It's a table saw. Then use them and use them and use them. Having said that, MLCS offers a 5-Piece Safety Push Block and Stick Package with five highly visible orange dodads to choose from, at a very reasonable price. Be choosey. They're cheap insurance.
Do you know where your fingers are. Buy them. The idea being to have the same number of digits when you leave the shop as when you walked in. Keep all five of 'em right there within arms reach, just like the picture shows.
I have yet to find these satisfactory. I keep reverting to home made tools. I wont say that they are bad, but I have not been able to use them in any project.
