About Stanley Sockets and Ratchets
Stanley sockets feature the proprietary Max-Drive design, a unique radius corner design which provides 15 percent more torque, making it easy to tighten fasteners and simplifies the turning of rounded corners. This technology helps reduce fastener wear without contact on the outer 5 percent of the fastener, so fasteners last longer. This helps reduce slipping on frozen or rusted fasteners. Stanley sockets are manufactured worldwide with high alloy steel and heat treated for performance.

Stanley ratchets and accessories are designed to meet or exceed ANSI specifications. All are forged from high-quality steel and finished in high-polish chrome. Selected Stanley high-torque ratchets have a Quick Release mechanism for one-handed use. Sockets and extensions remain locked onto the drive until disengaged with an easy-to-reach, low-profile quick-release button. Stanley Pear Head Ratchets have a slim profile and a small 7-degree arc-swing for accessing hard to reach fasteners.

User Comments about the Stanley 92-839 Black Chrome and Laser Etched Socket Set, 99-Piece

This set has been great for maintenance around the shop. The biggest hangup is the foam padding ~ I've noticed it tends to get pinched between socket and case, and when it does those are the sockets that pop out.Another reviewer suggested using a sheet of bubble wrap, and that or a sheet of soft foam should take care of the problem entirely. Carrying it on the truck, however, reveals the problems everyone's been having with the case.Given that you can generally adjust most of the sockets to stay firm even when bouncing along on and off road, it's really not such a problem that the case doesn't hold them fast all the time.

THE PRODUCT IS GREAT BUT THE CASE THAT HOLDS THE PRODUCT NEEDS ALOT OF WORK. IT DOES NOT HOLD SOCKETS & DIFFERNT PARTS THE WAY IT SHOULD.TO MUCH TROUBLE AND NOT WORTH IT

I bought this set because it had all the sockets and wrenches I needed in one case. It's not just one or two, but nearly half. Additionally, very few people have black socket sets and it makes it easy to identify my tools on the job site. The one major complaint I have is the sockets falling out of their places when you open the case.

I thought the 99 piece Stanley Black Chrome Socket set was a beautiful socket set. Still a really nice socket and ratchet set with some included wrenches. I did have a couple of sockets fall loose at times when I closed the top portion of the case but not all the time. I turned those particular 2 sockets upside down in their places and close the case slowly and now I don't have any difficulty closing the case.

This set is very nice, and like everyone says the case is bad at keeping the tools in. Good tools none the less. To solve this problem I had some bubble wrap laying around, and I put it in the case which fixed that problem.
