User Comments about the Stanley 77-500 IntelliLaser Pro Stud Sensor and Laser Line Level

Sometimes it helps to wipe the spot on the wall clean before applying the leveling tool. The tabs can't be too sticky without pulling the paint off the wall, so they are just sticky enough to hold it up. Overall, I thought this product was just fine. It has a a nice charm and it allows you to adjust for the thickness of the material you are trying to scan through. I haven't had the problems that the other reviewers have. It definitely works better on a smooth wall than a textured one. The other reviewers were fixated on the tabs, but did not comment on the quality of the leveler/stud-finder itself. The stud finder is one of the more comprehensive ones I have seen, with built in bubble leveler.

The sticky tabs do not stick to the wall, because the "legs" will not retract like they are supposed to. The only redeeming quality is that the stud sensor is good. I am returning it today. I bought this with high hopes. Also, it is supposed to project a line up to 20 ft. However, I already have a stud finder which is just as accurate and was much less expensive. but does not.

the stud sensor works fine but I can't say the same for the line level the "dots" just don't do the job of holding it in place while you work. I can't tell you how many times I have had to pick mine up.
