These bits are very stable and sharp. Those bits used a common shank and each cutter would have to be removed and then installed onto the common shank.After buying these, I wish I would have replaced the old system years ago. I have used them several times since buying them and they show no signs of wear.I bought them to replace the old Craftsman bits my Dad handed down to me years ago.
