Only it does it very very very slowly. This product is a clever means of fleecing consumers. It works only in the sense that leaves enter the chute, are partially ground, and enter an attached container. If Toro respected it's customers it wouldn't sell this crap. So it does it what it says it's supposed to do.
I have a flexible canister to connect the system to and as long as I cinch down the string very tightly, it will stay in place. Still, it works well for its intended purpose. In addition, the best way to ensure the tube stays in place is to either push it further into the hole or tape it to the fabric.
Works very well for half the price of a Black & DeckerWhich is the same unit just using bungee cords to hold it on top of can.You won't have any problemsFor the price you can't beat it
I wound up using the Leaf Vac with the carry bag to successfully shred 34 bags (recyclable) over two days. The two problems that I had with the Leaf Collector and the Spring Bucket make them totally worthless. I bought the package including the Toro 51599 Ultra Electric Blower/Vacuum, this Toro 51500 Universal Leaf Collector with 8-Foot Hose and the Toro 29210 43-Gallon Gardening Spring Bucket. First the collector would not stay on the Spring Bucket, then when I cinched it up tight enough to stay on, the plastic hose came loose from the Collector fabric shroud. Don't waste your money on the accessories. There is nothing to keep it attached.
although i did receive quick service , this did not fit my leaf blower, it says universal but they should say which products it don't fit.
