I've used this sander to adjust the size of a cabinet drawer and to create curved corners on a piece of plywood. Thanks to the vacuum bag, it creates very little mess. It's easy to use and fast.
Well, here I am, just a few months later, with a new project. It wasn't worth $25 if it only lasts through 1 project. I'm very disappointed. I used this sander to sand the scratched finish off of a school desk for my son. I think I'll find something of better quality to buy to finish this dresser.
It worked GREAT, was really fast, and I was very pleased. I am refinishing a dresser for my baby due in just a few weeks. The sander quit after just doing the tops and sides of the dresser, the drawers aren't done yet. I took it apart to see what was wrong and pieces of plastic are breaking off inside and getting caught in the gears.
I was able to refinish the top of a coffee table that my kids had drawn on with markers in about 10 minutes. It comes with 3 sheets of various grit sandpapers, and includes a sandpaper punch so you can punch holes in standard quarter sheets so the dust can be sucked up as you work. This is not cordless, you must plug it in while working. This sander is incredibly fast. I had previously tried hand sanding and was very frustrated trying to get through the layers of marker stains but this did the job in minutes. I am thrilled with the ease of use and effectiveness of this tool. It also sucked up all the wood dust leaving no mess.
