There was plenty of wire for what I needed and the tools worked great. I was surprised by how easily I made my first patch cord.& it worked. I found the kit to be an excellent solution for what I had accepted as the inevitable wad of wire behind my desk. If I had one suggestion it would be for the images in the book to be in color, but it wasn't necessary. Overall, I thought it was a smart buy and a fun project. The actual instructions were thorough yet simple enough not to confuse or complicate.

I realized that there is only so much information about ethernet cabling, but the 4x6 booklet was almost useless. The amount of cable, cat5e, is adequate. Unless you are going to memorize the color combinations, your first try will be a little difficult.The tools seem solid enough. The book that came with the kit was in reality a brochure. Also half of the 60 page book was in Spanish.Etherent cabling is color coded, the booklet is printed in black and white. I have come to expect more from the "dummies" publishers. While its small enough to put in a shirt pocket you need two hands to hold it open.
