awsome for things like oil or tranny pans. have used this many more times than the 3/8 drive and its GREAT. also keep it in its case and clean etc. release the spring each time you are done for the day to keep it accurate because when the spring wears out it is worn. I bought this and the 3/8 inch drive. good for valve covers especially if they have crap metal like a GEO metro that will shatter if you over tighten. common sense. never a problem works great.
The torque wrench looks better than expected. I'll update this again in a month when I get into a large project to use the wrench a lot. The value on the scales are as clear or clearer than my other two torque wrenches so if you can't see them it is you not the markings. I found them easy to read.Movement of the ratcheting action and handle movement seem quite good so initially I'm impressed it seems to be of quality that would exceed the asking price.
This was made in Taiwan and not made in China. This wrench is great. It's not made cheaply and is made for heavy duty use in shops. Comes with a hard plastic case w/ instructions on how to use it and comes pre-calibrated.
Good Torque wrench for your buck, shipping was prompt and packaged very well, and comes with convenient carry case.I used it a few times and seems durable; only issue i have noticed is when you set your inch lbs. For the price it is a very good product, i would reccomend this tool to anyone interested in a good Torque Wrench for a great price. on the adjustment knob, it doesn't lock in place, it is held there snug, but no locking mechanism to hold it in case your wrist turns it a little while tightening.
one of the head screws went missing after a week and i can't find a replacement anywhere.just waiting for the other one to pop out and then i'm screwed.no pun intended.
