I bought this for my mother in law as a Christmas gift and she really loves it. Uses it all the time and she can't belive how good of a job it does on everything.
It did little more than a good product and a brush. It should not be marketed for more that the wall paper remover it was designed to be. I borrowed this from my brother in law who bought it at Costco. Wagner is a panting product manufacture. But I tried it around the bathroom and kitchen. It would be fine for removing wall paper but not enough pressure to blast dirt out. If you are using it on mold it is a wash because you will be putting so much moisture back in the room.
He liked it for cleaning his tile floor. The steam is ever where and you cannot see a thing you are doing. it is a cute little yellow design but lacks a place to store or wrap the long cord. It only gives a gentle steam - my quality pressing iron has more pressure.
After about 30 minutes I went back to using some old fashion elbow grease and a scrubber for both. The Wagner 905 seem to consistently receive positive reviews. I had never actually owned a steamer so I read all of the reviews on several websites. I ordered it and have found it to be much less than I expected. Perhaps my expectations were too high and I will keep the Wagner 905, but I really don't anticipate using it very much. I was looking for something that would make cleaning the shower and the title floor in the kitchen much easier.
You have to understand that this doesn't just magically clean with no effort. Don't feel like you're tied to the one small little cloth that comes with the steamer. I am the type that enjoys things sanitized/disinfected, without using harsh chemicals. If you've used steamers before and understand that they aren't just "magic" machines that you blast something with steam and walk away, you'll understand the value in this little machine. I've used a friend's steamer several times that is an Italian made steamer, which costs $1,400.
It works so well. It puts high pressure steam (very hot, so watch out for your fingers) onto the object your're cleaning, then you wipe it down. I love it. ANY cloth (terry or microfiber, I prefer microfiber) can be clipped to the floor attachment. I saw this one at Costco and decided to try it.
It does take some elbow grease, but so does any other effective cleaning method. All in all, I love it. I love that this is basically usable out of the box (one screw for the handle, fill with water, plug in, heat and go), and cost's 1/20th of my friend's steamer.
My treated brazillian cherry wood floors, kitchen granite surfaces, stainless steel and bathroom stone tiled floors are now pretty much sparkling. The Wagner steamer arrived quicker than anticipated and was very easy to assemble.I couldn't believe it. What a relief to not hurt after kneeling, bending, pushing, mopping and scrubbing. I have a lot of hard water stains on the stone shower floor but with a pumice stone and combo steam it's finally removing it all.
No big deal for me. Some folks may experience different results depending on how dirty and far between cleanings are done on certain surfaces. The jet nozzle with it's attachments do make more noise, but it's super concentrated steam blasting out of there, I expected this type of noise. I read all the reviews before buying this product and am glad I went ahead and ordered it. I cleaned the based boards with it and they came out fantastic. No back ache. I'm happy with the results as this is what most matters to me.I agree with the other comments about not having an area to store all the cool attachments this little gem comes with but will just create a storage space for all of it.
For me, it will take a few more cleanings on the hard water stains, but the first pass was a great start. There were a lot of very useful reviews from the people who purchased this product. I have over 2000 square feet of wood and stone tile floors and wished I would have found out about this steamer long ago. This steamer just glided over everything, blasted the shower mildew problem. Thank you as it made my decision to purchase easier. As for noise, I find the larger cleaning brush and squeegee pretty quite.
