It is very light and very quiet compared to my larger garage compressor. There are no air leaks that I can hear. This could be an indication that cylinder / piston is already wearing. Bought this compressor for permanent mounting on my RV. Make no mistake, this is not a powerhouse and if you need large volumes get a larger compressor. Other than that concern, it seems to be well designed and built. My only concern is that after only running for about one hour of total time (including break-in per mfr instructions), I find it is taking longer and longer to fill the 1 gallon tank before shutting down at the preset pressure level.
All in all it is a great basic use compressor. This compressors is small compared to other compressors, and for basic use it is a must. It is very quiet and his a built in quick connect switch is cool for those who like to switch out tools. One side note, the compressor comes in a box with no real packing foam to cushion it so inspect it other than that its a great buy. The regulator is decent but takes some getting use to.
I used it to nail my baseboards. Well, this unit had a leak in one of the fitting. I took it to the local dewalt repair place, in a couple days they had it ready and worked great. It did kick of all lot but I only needed to nail a few at a time so it fit the job. I have had it for some time and its worth the cash spent.
The Dewalt Compresser is excellent but for the price the company should include an air hose and attachments.
Compared to the noisy old Campbeli Hausfeld compressor it replaced this thing is a relief to my ears. However if I were using it in doors the low sound level would surely be a big plus. All in all I've been very satisfied and only hope it holds up over the long haul. This compressor is a really nice compact unit. And again it does come back up to pressure very quickly compared to the CH.
It's comes up to pressure quickly and is VERY quiet. It just purs. The front panel gauges, pressure adjustment knob and hose attachment fitting are very convenient. I only use it for tire inflation and general cleaning and drying so I can't vouch for its use with air tools.
