Editorial Reviews:

Harness the power and efficiency of pneumatic nailing with the DeWalt DC628K Heavy-Duty 15 Gauge 34-Degree Angled Finish Nailer. Designed to work with ANY DeWalt 18-volt battery, this nailer provides fast, consistent nail penetration in both soft and hard materials. You can select sequential operating mode to ensure precision placement of each nail or a bump operating mode that allows you to harness top speed. A unique engine design allows this tool to work as fast as you do, firing up to four or five nails a second for increased productivity. And at just 8.8 pounds, this tool is lightweight for easy maneuvering and reduced operator fatigue.

Whatever you're working on, you'll appreciate the little details that separate this intuitively designed tool from similar nailers. Integrated LED lights make it easy to ensure accuracy. An easy-to-operate contract trip lock-off disables the trigger when the tool is not in use for improved safety. The nosepiece is easy to access and clear tool-free if a nail jam occurs. And a six-position dial makes it simple to move between several applications without stopping to re-acquire exact depth settings, saving you time. Additionally, the 34-degree angled, rear-load magazine is easy to handle for quick refills, and it will accept up to 110 DeWalt 34-degree nails. Included in this kit is a one-hour charger, an 18-volt XRP battery, a reversible belt hook that accommodates right- and left-handed workers, a no-mar tip, safety glasses, and a kit box for easy storage. This DeWalt high-performance industrial tool is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.

User Comments about the DEWALT DC628K Heavy-Duty XRP 1-1/4-Inch - 2-1/2-Inch 15 Gauge 34 degre

This thing made those projects so very much easier. I've had it jam only a very few times and it's easy to remedy. By far the best tool I own. This is my favorite tool. Battery life is excellent.

I do a few wood projects around the house such as bookshelves, bunkbeds, and entertainment centers. Instead of clamping things carefully and laboriously, I just slap slome wood glue on and hit it a few times with the finish nailer and walk away. Very nice. It's easy to use and dependable.

Faced with trimming out everything, and getting very tired of stepping, tripping over hoses I finally purchased the deawlat cordless nailer. I started looking for a cordless nailer when I began running trim in our house. It is the first thing I reach for when nailing. It has not failed once nor jammed once. I wish that I would have known about this before I purchased air nailers. This tool is incredible. As for the air nailer, I still use it in my shop, but when out of the shop the DeWalt nailer is KIng. I love it.

One thing I can vouch for is its durability. This is an excellent and practical tool. I spent much more for it back then (Yeah, I got it for MYSELF for Christmas), and I still think it was worth every penny. This thing hasn't skipped a beat yet. I can't add much to the good things that other folks have already said here. I got this nailer for Christmas back in '04, and have used it several times a week ever since(I think I may actually use it more than my drill driver.is that possible). I know not having to carry around and set up a compressor and hose is priceless. Often it can be working all day long.

This has made things so much easier in so many ways. Very easy to get it out and keep going. The battery lasts a very long time. I've gone through around 1500 - 2000 nails now and it has only jammed once and that was because the nail hit metal just under the wood that I didn't see and the nail I was shooting had nowhere to go.

Oh and did I mention that I had a refurbished one. Some were just passing the tool around and amazed that the thing would fire nails into thick molding. The price of this gun when bought new might keep most of them away, but I have been helping my crew mates to find deals on it so they aren't asking to use mine. I have had this gun for over a year now. I guess they thought you needed air pressure to be able to do some of that.

It's been great and hasn't failed me once. It works perfectly on anything that I have thrown at it. The first time I brought it out at my new job people didn't know what to think. Every one of them has tried it and loved it.
