I was so happy with this electronic protractor that i showed it off to everybody i knew had its use.Until one day, i found that the angles it showed were completely inaccurate. The inaccuracy ranged from 2.5 to 7 degrees. The main problem is that this does not have any 'zero' button, where i can calibrate the device. Because i've got a couple of their other products and they rock.I suggest - DO NOT BUY until a major upgrade It has a pre-fed zero which can sometimes be inaccruate due to jerks or falls. That is a disaster. I could get get better accuracy with an analog traditional protractor. It was a waste of previous money.I've now ordered a Wixey digital protractor.
oh. Very efficient and amazingly accurate for its price. It did show a 0.3 degree reading fully closed once and when I loosened and retightened a screw - things were back to normal. and no more miter guesswork. Great value for what you need to do.
Oh I thought it would use it more than I have, it is fairly accurate. It is fairly compact. I don't really care for it much mainly because of preference not quality.
Right out of the box it was 4 degrees off and there is no field calibration provisions. Time will tell if it's any good. I loosened all of the protractor screws and was able to get it within 1 degree.
I bought this to use to install crown molding. While I do not have anything to check it out with, it is right on with a square. So far I have not used it on the job, but from everything I can see, it should do just fine.
