There only mechanism keeping the wrenches from falling off when upside down is a small molding at the top. The wrench handle is extremely useful but there isn't anythin special to it. If you already have a set of hex wrenches, you can probably find the handle alone and be just as well off. While this is decently effective, it can be annoying to remove both sets to use the wrench handle.Much more economical than T-handle wrenches since there is more than one application method. If you don't have a inch and metric set, this is definately a great investement.The handle is designed to allow you to keep both sets of wrenches attached to the handle when not in use.
