Light weight and compact is only a plus for me. All I can say is WOW. I build furnature mostley, Oak, Rock Maple, Birch, and Walnut. you have to get one. All are very hard woods, and this driver will sink 3 inch screws with out skipping a beat.
This is the second set of these I've purchased for my business. The first generation units were still running with >>no
they are very lightweight and compact and have more than ample power for fastening 20ga and 18ga framing members. they've been dropped countless times off of scaffold onto concrete and never miss a beat. i've had the same two for over 2 years and have used them and abused them for hundreds of hours of usage. i have two of these 12v impact drivers that we use for metal stud framing. the batteries last for hours of fairly constant use and they charge quickly. i am very impressed with hitachi and these 12v impacts get used a lot more than my heavier 18v drills. we use these impacts with a 5/16 driver to fasten tek-5 screws into steel members up to 3/8" thick.
