Hmmm. I'm not saying this is useless, just unnecessary.I would try.Pliersneedle nose pliersa business card or index card (tiny brads)Gee the list could go on, but you get the picture. I don't want to be too critical here, but last I checked, if you needed something like this there was probably a more versatile tool, for less money, AND might already be in your toolbox, that will do the same job.Just trying to be practical.
The Thumbsaver TS001 Magnetic Nail Setter is one of those inventions that make you wonder why you didn't think of it. Yes, it saves thumbs, but it also saves time and effort. It's one of those tools that you don't need it until you NEED it - and then, nothing else will do. It's surprising how many little tasks are made simple by the Thumbsaver.
I will continue to use the tools and avoid those painful hits to the fingers and thumb. I purchased 4 of the thumb saver tool sets as Christmas presents. I have used the tool to hold a nail in place in out of the way places where it would be awkward to hold and then strike the nail. For a home do-it-yourselfer the tool is great. The tool works as advertised and the DIY network did a great job making me aware of the tool.
Darrell N. This is the neatest nail holder I have ever used and I have a lot of them. It holds well while starting the nail and then releases easy. Dawson Very cool, everyone should have these.
Received as promised. Purchased as a gift for someone else; can't comment on product.
