I have used these chips extensively, they are fast and reliable, and more weatherproof than the camera. They are durable, easy to use and the little bags they come with are easy to attch to a camera strap or bag so I always have a fast and easy to find chip to swap out in a hurry rather than digging in my bag or pockets. The size is good too. 2G is more than enough and if I use lithium batteries the batteries go right after the chip is full so when I switch chips I switch batteries.Very convenient reminder. Also 2 G is a good size as I don't get completely lazy about getting the photos off the camera in case it gets lost or stolen and I lose the camera and my memories.
They were easy to install and show great pics. You cannot replace photographs without it. Some memory cards are cheaper, but I like the recovery feature of these - just in case. I bought 2 of these for my husband's and daughter's new Nikon CoolPix S212 cameras. 2 GB is plenty of memory for a standard session. Kodak is right: Photos are indeed a stopped, irreplaceable, moment in time. If not, buy two, and keep the extra one in the carry-case that is included free in the SanDisk Extreme III package.
Ignoring the technical specs - which are all more than adequate - the recovery function has saved me TWICE after pictures managed to be deleted. This is worth the price alone.
My camera is a Nikon D-80 and these cards work very well with it and they are what I exclusively use. They have never given me a problem.
I will give you storage of about 200 photos, even on the high ISO setting. You will enjoy this card. It is a handy card to have. On my old camera with only 6 megapixels, I could have stored thousands.
