I am a licensed electrician and utilize this screwdriver for almost everything. The cheapest place that I have found it is toolup.com. The batteries last forever and the tool's torque is phenomenal. I used to carry my DeWalt stuff with me for job estimates but now I carry this little tool because of its flexibility, power, and battery reserve.
I purchased this a little over a month ago to use at work (A/V installs and mobile electronics). It has more power than I expected, and good battery life. I am very pleased with it.
The 10.8 volts delivers what you expect. The feel of the grip and the ergonomics are excellent, as is the pivoting head that gives you the needed flexibility depending on the situation at hand. Overall, I'm very pleased with this driver. The caveats (probably kept me from awarding fice stars): 1) As indicated in other reviews, the torque setting doesn't seem to affect the overall torque delivered to the bit as one might expect; 2) there seems to be, under some conditions, a delay between depressing the trigger and the actual rotation of the bit. It doesn't in any way substitute for more powerful cordless tools for driving fasterners, but it comes in handy for tight spots and light duty applications, in my opinion. I'm unsure is this is by design or perhaps operator error, but it's not a primary consideration for me at this point.Overall, this is another great Bosch product.
a drill for tight spaces. This is a great product. I haven't had extended time with it. I just hope the Bosch name doesn't let me down. but on first blush it's designed to be exactly what it looks like.
The batteries are long long lasting. No switching bits. Especially those vix bits for hinges. But when I have lots of screws or small pilot holes to drill, this baby is handy. I've been able to drill and drive in some tight spaces with this drill, it's great for cabinets. I can keep my regular drill with a pilot bit in the holster, and I keep the driver in the Bosch. I initially had buyers remorse on this drill when I saw the little impact driver that Bosch sells.
When I need to drill holes, I'll pick up my Panasonic 12v. The rotating head is nice, though I rarely use it in the straight up position. But then I started using it. A very good value for the money. Great power for it's size. Mostly I use it at the 90 degree position. Yes, I will be buying the little impact driver that Bosch makes, it's supposed to be a great tool and the cool thing is that both tools will use the same batteries and chargers.
I like to hang it on my belt using one of those clip on tool hooks.
