had this gun for a year or so and it's started to give several misfires in a row at this point. milwaukee pneumatics have been disappointing for me overall. it was great out of the box, but i'm wondering about its long-term reliability at this point.
It has many attractive features and it operates quite nicely. I use this tool for both work and home projects and expect it to last as long as its comparable-priced competitors. Much of the tool is plastic, so don't expect an ultra-rugged workhorse like the Milwaukee tools of the good old days. The price points on this tool are pretty good. This model allows staples up to 1 1/2 inches in length--its best feature. CAUTION: This tool does NOT come with an air line nipple, so plan to have one on hand if you buy this product. Most "economy-priced" staplers stop at one inch, a limitation that will come back to haunt you.
I believe that Milwaukee is a very innovative company with the willingness to bring the public what they want. Also, a nice feature of this tool is that it is oil-less; this gives me piece of mind knowing that I wont ruin a nice piece of furniture with excess oil blowing out the exhaust and on to the work piece.I have to admit I was very skeptical of Milwaukee before I bought this tool. I own several nailers, all of which require you to adjust the air pressure to set the nail to the desired depth; with the new line of Milwaukee nailers, you can leave the pressure set high (125psi) and adjust the depth of your nail on the fly, without any tools, by adjusting a knob just in front of the trigger. I have seen the numerous outlet mall stores selling reconditioned Milwaukee tools and thought that if they have enough inventory of reconditioned tools to open a store front, I wouldn't purchase one of there tools. With that said, I think I will be purchasing the Milwaukee brad nailer next and retire my Porter Cable. This nailer changed my mind.
This is a sweet gun. Milwaukee has a loyal customer for life. Milwaukee makes the best tools for my money and no other tool maker gives a 5 year warranty. If they will stand behind a tool they make for 5 years knowing how guys like me are gonna treat it.
The only recommendation I could possibly make would be to move the saftey plunger behind port where staples exit; this might make accurate staple placement a little easier. Fit and finish are excellent. As all Milwaukee products, this stapler is very well made. The belt hook is a nice feature. Well satisfied with the purchase. Have only used this gun a few times now, but it has performed flawlessly.
