Had I known, would have gotten digital model. Easy to install - does what it's supposed to. It's a one for one replacement of my original Malibu light timer/transformer which lasted about 7 years. Got it quickly. Wasn't happy to have to buy entire new unit to replace a simple clock drive (Malibu doesn't sell the timer drive separately even though it's trivial to replace it). Went to Home Depot after I bought this and found the transformer timers are now programmable - digital clock-driven.
The Malibu Intermatic Timer is the best for landscape lighting. It does make a little noise but it turns the lights on/off automatically. I added more 11v landscape lights to my outside lights, so I needed a 300 watt transformer. It is easy to install.screw the two wires on the back and plug it in.
This an awesome item. Good transactions and great product. The price is very reasonable and I would buy from this seller anytime.

No surprise with it's basic functions. The unit buzzes fairly loudly at times because of something with the internals that wants to vibrate. The cover isn't hinged to stay upright and thetimer dial is cheap, as others have noted. This power pack works fine for the month I've used it intermittently. There are several annoyances that make it unworthy of a higher score. It changes volume from moment to moment. The labels stuck to the cover (inside) keep peeling off and it's not subject to any temperatures extremes, just 50s and 60s here in Arizona.
