No surprise with it's basic functions. The unit buzzes fairly loudly at times because of something with the internals that wants to vibrate. The cover isn't hinged to stay upright and thetimer dial is cheap, as others have noted. This power pack works fine for the month I've used it intermittently. There are several annoyances that make it unworthy of a higher score. It changes volume from moment to moment. The labels stuck to the cover (inside) keep peeling off and it's not subject to any temperatures extremes, just 50s and 60s here in Arizona.
It is a little on the heavy side, so I would recommend some good anchors to secure it. I have had this for almost a year now and it works great. This power pack is encased in a metal jacket and has a flip up metal cover. I have had no problems at all and would highly recommend this. It has an easy to set adjustable timer with multiple on and off settings.
I ordered this timer to replace one that I had. It will withstand the weather we have here in Arizona. I love the fact that all the exterior is metal.
