My recommendation. until you lay it down and walk away. When new this sheath is only very difficult to use in the field. An all to common story I hear. After the sheath has been used awhile and after you get used to using them they're only OK. You'll get so frustrated using it that you eventually just carry the rock hammer. It's cheaper and it's easy to get the rock hammer in and out of when you're in the field, and it keeps your rock hammer on your hip where you want it.
I find it hard to line up the handle with the hole then tilt the tip in, then rotate the rock hammer into the sheath and finally, with one hand snap the snaps closed. use the Rock Hammer Holster for Pointed Tip or Chisel Edge Estwing Hammerlock Pick Holster (HH2). Still a good accessory to have to store your rock hammer. Of course, for sellers it's better for you to use this sheath.
This works well for my pointed Estwing pick. Cheap and functional. The snaps close without a problem for me.
THe sheath is okay but it has 2 snaps. once the 1st snap is on the other is quite difficult to click on either the snap is out of alignment or the snap is just DANG hard to press.not sure.I can live with it.
