Battery life was "ok" for a Home use tool. I hate tearing up tools. It will not last long with heavy use. Bought this drill and had it around for more than a couple of years. I would not buy it if I was doing much more than hanging pictures and driving a few screws.
Decent power. Quick charge so next battery was ready before the other one died. The real issue I have is the drive stripped out a few months ago. I guess I overwhelmed it. Replaced it with the Mikita 18V Lithium Ion.
Do not buy this drill. The batteries are of poor quailty and will not hold a charge for longer than a few hours. First battery charger was recalled due to potential fire hazard. Replacement battery charger does not charge the batteries.
I purchased one of these as I thought that a 19.2 volt battery would offer plenty of power and battery life. Shortly after purchasing it one battery died and I soon found out that the other battery did not hold a charge very long either. I finally threw it away after about six months so I would have to purchase a decent drill.
I bought this for my husband who had asked especially for this brand. It was for his birthday and he loves it.Lisa SimsAlabama
The only reason I rated the Kawasaki 19.2 drill 4 stars instead of 5 is because you are not able to leave the spare battery in the charger for a trickle charge. The instructions tell you to remove the battery from the charger after an hour or two.Performance-wise, I would rate it 5 stars as it is every bit as good as the Dewalt 18 volt it replaced at 1/3 to 1/2 the cost.
