Purchased this to make trimming crepe myrtles much easier this year - this did the trick, PERFECTLY.
This is the most used tool in my possession. Just plain wore out my first one. It is easy to use, fits anywhere and has power to spare. This is the second one I have owned.
I decided to buy one myself to use around the house since his worked so well. I helped my brother renovate our grandmothers 100+ year old house last year and this tool came in quite handy in many areas. Using the metal blade to cut through nails in studs was great and getting into hard to reach areas was also a plus. I didn'twant to have to keep recharging batteries all the time. Hand sawing was for the birds.
We havea chainsaw, but I don't like using it because it's too big forme to manage. This saw cut branches very well, except the vibration put a coupleof blisters on my hand. Advise: use work gloves to avoidblisters. I've never cut metal or pvc so I don't know if the vibration is as bad with those. I needed to trim some oak trees in the backyard and didn't wantto wait until my husband could get around to doing it. It vibrates a lot when you are cutting throughthicker branches (3" or more). Great saw and very handy. Next time, I'm going to wear gloveswhen cutting wood.
I bought this for my son as a gift since I have one of my own.its much safer and easier to use than a chain saw and works great.tree limbs, lumber, light building projects etc.
