It's a little flimsy, but you get what you pay for. Some locking wheels would be nice because I cut long molding and always seem to be turning it around. I pick up the saw rather than the stand when I move it. The cranks that secure it are nice, but I don't use them as I use the saw so much I leave it set up in my garage.
Easy put together and use. This was purchased here on Amazon for a great price and free shipping. This is a good solid product for the homeowner. If you are a professional or use a big compound saw this may not be for you. I use a 10" miter saw and this works well.
(I have a DeWalt sliding saw). It is cheap, small and usable which is what I needed. I wanted a small inexpensive stand as I don't have much room in my studio. I just need to cut some 2 X's. It is easy to set up the stand and mount the saw. This is not the stand for someone who really enjoys finely made tools. One downside at least with the big sliding saw is that the stand bends as you move the blade.
I don't need to move it around and I don't do fine woodwork so keep that in mind. The support extensions are easy to use. If you need it for more precise work I don't think you will be happy with it. Takes some getting used to the wobble as you cut.
Semi-assembled and ready to go in minutes, this all steel and aluminum unit comes with mounting brackets, and extension arms. As with all Fulton products, it will definitely outlast most saws. One of the last tools made in the USA, its rated up to a 500 lb capacity. The Fulton MM1 Miter Mate Stand is 100% durable and will go the distance on any job. Standing at 29" high it expands out to 90" wide. Just a reminder for those that may need extra help, don't destroy the box for the assembly instructions are printed on the bottom. It weighs in at about 23 lbs.
