When I got home the next night I went out to the garage to finish the parts of her car I hadn't done the night before, and nothing. I use it to polish and to sand. Once I got it back, I've been very happy with it. Bought it, and I used it to polish my wife's car for about an hour the first night. Took it to the warranty repair shop and they had to replace the switch, which meant I had to drive around to get it repaired and was without it for almost two weeks. The ergonomics work well for me and it seams to have enough power for it's intended use. Not a great start for a tool with only an hour of use on it.
I bought one of these over ten years ago and used it almost daily until it just gave up the ghost. It's a real workhorse. I have two other brands, which are almost as good, but I couldn't resist replacing this with a new one.
Far superior to showroom fit and finish. You will be rewarded. Takes about ten minutes a coat.I regularly get copmliments from other Lexus owners.Great product that delivers as promised. This product line (both are identical short of the attachments) could hardly be better. I found three coats of the sealant did the trick.
The end product of my efforts on my Lexus LS430 with the Porter Cable and the Edge quick pad system, were simply stunning. Far better results in about a quarter the time.I used the PC with advice from the Autopia forum, microfiber towels/applicators, and products from the Ultima and Sonus lines. My personal favorite is the Paint Guard Plus. BUT Prep you paint properly with clay before polishing with the PC and then sealing with the Paint Guard.
This is a good dual action buffer for people starting out with minimal experience on buffing. It works great. I purchased it because of other reviews stating that the dual action made it difficult to burn the paint finish.
