NOTE: If you do not use a quick change holder in your drill chuck, which allows you to switch between drill bits like these and screwdriver tips easily, DO IT. These bits do everything they should. in a good range of sizes for the price. It makes household repairs and wood work much easier. They wobble a bit at startup, but that could be the fault of my holder, which was cheap and is quite old.
The bits can't come out until you first tilt the bits towards you and then take the one you want. I don't know about the 3/8 " mystery bit the others are talking of my package said 1/4". These bits work great. And it comes in a clear package so that you can easily see whats in it. The case itself is well thought out. They work well on everything your likely to run into in the building trades. The case , hinge and latch look like they will last a long time.
A good range of bits in a compact case. Thus preventing bits runneth over syndrom. I won't try to tell you what kind of metal they are made of or whether they are blue printed and balanced to NASA spec.s but 30 plus years on the job tell me these are good bits. The bit are very sharp and durable.
I specifically bought this set because it was supposed to go up to 3/8 and it stops at 1/4. RIP OFFFFFFFF. My father already had them out and using them so could not return.
I bought these for my grandfather and he was amazed at the sizes available in one case seeing as how you can only find 4 packs where he shops. Great buy. He's been using them like crazy and talks about how great they are because they don't bow.
The bits are advertised to range in size from 1/16" to 3/8". In reality, the largest bit in the set is 1/4"
