User Comments about the Canon PGI-5 Pigment Black Ink Tank

I ordered this ink 2.5 weeks before it arrived, but it's the real thing. If you're willing to wait for your ink, it's the best price out there.

Prob won't try that again. I've tried after-market substitutes in my Canon MP600 before but they would leave lines in my paper on the black areas - Even after a number of cleanings of the printer head. I replaced the Truestar brand with Canon PIGMENT ink, and it worked fine. BTW, I love my Canon printer. Truestar inks worked fine with the other colors, but NOT, I repeat, NOT with the pigmented PGI-5 tank.

What can I do. If you are interested in a good printer, buy one like mine. I have owned three types of printers and bought two of the Canon MP that I have now. If you can't stand the short term inkers, look elsewhere. The ink runs out fast and is too expensive. I print a great deal and use lot of ink. Never.

The printer is great. Give up my printer. I have only one complaint about this ink--it runs out very fast and is not that cheap. I caan print about 250 sheets before my number 5 inker runs out.

Although the price seems high it is still the best I could find from a reputable sourcethat was for genuine Canon ink in New condition.

After research I found that this was a good ink value for the money and that has proved out.
