The battery works, but for a short time only, and it does not hold a charge very well.kind of dissapointed in it.
The charger states that it is a 1 hour charger. So far so good. The delivery was prompt and the battery went directly to work. When I leave the battery inside the radio charger, it's comes out ok. I believe I had to get a new one because I left the bad one on the charger too long.
Expect to get about 2 years at most of good power than cells start to die. I love the tools esp. (around 19 volts for new) Rules, Don't overwork the batteries, when power starts to full off recharge and replace with new immediately. the jig saw and planer and skill saw. The Blue core is only slightly better. Heat kills 'em. Just more insulation. The old Makita 9 volts lasted longer by far.
Bigger means less longevity. Great. I've had 8 or 9 of these batteries in the last few years. Not much. The cells overheat and die and voltage drops off per cell (about 1.5 each).
I find the Dewalt tools also good and their batteries seem slightly more powerful but my Bosch never fail.but the batteries aren't so good buy I think that's with all 18 volts. Keep charged batteries always nearby. Used to be that the Bosch ones were always about 80 bucks and it was better to have them rebuilt at a battery shop for about 50 bucks.now Amazon's got them new for about the same price. Check with voltage tester.you'll see older batteries even after recharging will be quite a bit less than new ones. (Lithion-ion has some problems in cold on my little bosch 10.8 tools) finally a price about what it should be.
Don't run 'em down.
As expected the new Bluecore battery from Bosch is great. Thanks Amazon. The price from Amazon made this purchase 40% less than i could buy it for locally.
Batteries work fine, but they are still Nicads. I would prefer that Bosch would sell retrofitted Lithium batteries to replace the Nicads as have some of the other high end power tool manufacturers. Time will tell if they are better than the originals.
