Editorial Reviews:

This Wusthof Ceramic 3 stage sharpening hone can easily bring those dull knives back to cutting form. The first stage is a course stage for cutting the new edge the next stage uses a fine ceramic to hone the knife to a keen edge. The 3rd stage allows you to sharpen your kitchen shears.

User Comments about the Wüsthof 2-Stage Knife Sharpener

Best sharpener I have ever bought. A couple of pulls through and its just as sharp as when I first bought them.

I have used this sharpener on my very dull knives. A few swipes with the coarse side and then a few over the fine, and my knives cut like new again. It works great.

You will feel a LOT less sorry for yourself about not having the $$ for new knives. If you're like me and your knives are ancient and you're not getting anywhere with the sharpening steel, BUY THIS. Thank you, Wüsthof, for providing us with a way to AVOID buying your knives :). A few passes through the scissors sharpener in this gizmo and they're performing like new. Maybe the best $20 I've ever spent. And for godsake do NOT throw out those tarnished old scissors you bought back when we actually manufactured things like scissors in the good old US of A. Very classy. I've had the nastiest looking pair of scissors imaginable for as long as I can remember, we're talking decades, but they're quality.

This knife sharpener works incredibly well and is very easy to use, especially compared to a sharpening steel. Good knives are expensive, so it's well worth the very affordable $20 sharpener to keep them in good condition.

I bought two of these, one for me and for my older son. My other son liked it so much, he took mine.
